About Raoul:
I believe that the gift of art doesn't belong to me. I am merely a stewart of this ability to use it for the betterment of this world and life. A voice of sorts and thats why I draw. my heart has something to say and it's better said with pencils and paper. I returned to art after a 25 year layoff after discovering that I had purpose and i no longer had vision in my right eye and might lose my chance to sing my song in a matter of speaking. It was then that i felt the need to pursue my gift or what was left of it. Fond of details the accident made me aware that i really love and would miss drawing and i could lose that for good. I realize my spirit is in tune...enriched and truly happiest when i flow with the art. I try to draw everyday. I do want my art to speak to something. If only to share in a moment in my life or social concern of the time. although limited because of headaches from squinting i can't give it up. so i'm saving my money for surgery and keeping my fingers crossed. Pencil and ink are my usual but im moving into others, stay tuned All my art is forsale and prints (giclee) are available in multible sizes. All proceeds are divided between my scholarship fund for highschool seniors and my eye surgery need.
